Peter Jackson to direct 'Tin Tin and The Prisoners of The Sun'

It's no news that Spielberg and Jackson would take turns directing the movies but thanks to The Playlist, Jackson has told of working on the next Tin Tin once he finishes the Hobbit movies.

Sony and Paramount are watching the box office with eager anticipation as to wether they will fund a second film however the script has already been written by author Anthony Horowitz beat known for his UK teen spy novels. I'm a little sad to hear Edgar Wright and Steven Moffat will not be writing the next story but am interested none the less as to where this is heading.

'The Prisoners of The Sun' tells of when Tin Tin and Captain Haddock uncover the truth of a deadly illness that hits anyone connected to an Incan tomb and hopefully Professor Calculus will be amongst the plethora of characters!

Paranormal Activity 3 (the one set in the 80s)

Before I begin I must admit to a few things:
• I don't usually watch horror movies
• I haven't seen the second Paranormal Activity

Now that that's covered I can begin.

The new Paranormal movie takes us to the past where it all began, baggy trousers, MC Hammer, Madonna....i'm of course talking about the 80s where, thankfully we see none of these during the film. Instead we see a whole lot of creepiness, with a few frights on the side!

It seems that tension has returned and snuck up behind us as it was destined to do (I for one was a little tired of the "see all" horrors in which we see all and leave nothing to the most important thing we humans have, imagination)

This film is straight up scary, clever and funny. At some points it felt very scripted for a film which is shot as if it was real, and there are still the questions everyone asks like "why is he still filming?" and "but why is he still filming?".

The kids are great in this with truly creepy performances, but the greatest performance, as it is with all these "shot to be real" films is the camera! It allowed us to see only a little of the evil it documents and yet we wanted to see more!

It does get a bit silly in the end but only because it ties into the storyline of why the demon/ghost is there, which I personally feel spoils the idea of "this film is supposed to be real" however, If you want a film you can scream to, laugh at (to cover your fear) or whisper quite loudly to your friend "f*** that!" then this is a film for you.

In George Kleanthous @GeorgeK1988 and I think I may need to watch some Disney films before I got to bed!

The Phoenix is coming but who will be the host?

For the last 10 or when ever the Grant Morrison run on "New X-men" ended people have be wondering when Jean Grey or the Phoenix force would return. Then Hope Summer came on the scene in Messiah Complex and people started to think that she was Jean Grey returning from the dead and when Emma Frost saw the Phoenix in Hope's eyes everybody went crazy, thinking that Hope is some how Jean Grey. Now one year on, Marvel has released a teaser poster saying its coming.

From what i have heard, this is meant to tie in to big event that's happening in 2012. Marvel says that next year is going to be world changing event. With Cable, Nova, The Phoenix and maybe Bucky Barnes returning  in a big way. Personally i hope that Jean Grey doesn't come back from the dead and i don't Hope to turn out to be Jean Grey. Hope is a good character on her own, you don't need to link her to Jean Grey. Marvel could totally catch people by Surprise and make Emma Frost the Phoenix. As no-one would see that coming. But maybe that's just me. Well we only have 3 month till wait.

Till then i shall be looking to see if there are any spare room on Utopia since Wolverine and his X-men decided to go back to New York.

Can Deadpool really die??

Could  be the end of the Merc with a mouth, everybody's favourite gun carrying Canadian and i ain't talking about Wolverine. Am talking about Deadpool. Recently at New York Comic-con during the X-men panel, Writer Daniel Way teased that Deadpool may actually die during a story arc entitled "Death" which start with issue 50. Way said "Wade (Deadpool) really wants to die. Could the book getting cancelled due to poor sales which i doubt as everyone (expect me) loves Deadpool or is he actually gonna die? I may actually buy this title to see whether  he does or not, but i highly doubt he will.

Well off to go and join Department H and get myself a mutant healing factor.

Catch ya'all later

Bay and Spielberg in talks for Transformers 4 + 5

We all remember when Micheal Bay said he was never going to direct another Transformers film? Well surprise surprise! After the box office smash that was Transformers: Dark of the Moon, bay and Spielberg are in talks to reboot/continue the franchise.

Now I'm happy they're continuing the franchise but I just hope they do it right. I mean Bay isn't a terrible director, I enjoyed most of his films that didn't suck and Spielberg is a cinematic master so there's no doubt it'll be visually amazing but it's all about the bots and if they can't script it right is it really worth it?

The rumour is that they plan to film the two movies back to back and a "reliable source" from a well known site claims Jason Statham will be the main character hunting down the bots.....I know, a terrible idea. I hope it's just a rumour because if he is the star of the show I can see a very dark future in out midst....saying that, he could be part of a British black ops style group or something, who knows?

Does Real Steal pack a punch?

If you don't know what I'm talking about here's a brief description:

In the near future, robots have taken over for humans in the boxing ring. A former boxer and small-time promoter (Hugh Jackman) struggles to make a living with patched-up robots in shady venues. When he discovers he has an 11-year-old son who believes that a robot found in the junk heap has what it takes to win, he finds himself with a shot at the big time. -- IMDb Plot: Real Steel (2011)

Now that thats covered let's cut to the chase.....it's awesome! A great story based on a short film (but let's be honest, we all know it's based on the game 'Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots'....anyway) Jackson's performance was great and that kid was ok too despite the annoying screams you would usually hear when you beat kids at call of duty.

The fight scenes were great and actually had me rooting for Atom the whole way through. The CGI is great and the Rocky style montage in the last fight was epic too.

If you look past the blatant product placement this film has an interesting idea, no not big robots fighting each other for sport, but the idea of....ah who am I kidding? Yes, the idea of giant robots fighting it out for our entertainment is what I'm talking about.

This film is for everyone, the kids, the parents, everyone!

All for one and all that jazz - Three Muskateers movie review

When I first saw the trailer for the 'Three Musketeers' film I automatically knew what kind of film this was going to be, an adventure movie with the intent to be something bigger, something on the lines of a certain Pirate franchise? I can safely say I was correct.

'Three Muskateers' based on the book of the same title by Alexandre Dumas père and directed by Paul W.S Anderson (Mortal Kombat/ Death Race)
Is a swash buckling adventure with a steam punk feel about, you guessed it three musketeers! Oh hold on don't forget the fourth one, D'artanian played by Logan Lermon (Percy Jackson) who manages to become a member of the King's guard after three days of being in Paris with no test or training or nothing. The film also stars that chick from Resident Evil who seems to do sexy poses between her ridiculous stunts and Orlando 'I want to be a good actor' Bloom who plays Buckingham, his best role since Legolas.

The script is poor and the performances are average at best. The 3D was ok but did nothing for the brilliant colours the film contains if watched in 2D, this still couldn't take my attention away from the piss poor acting, accents and dialogue. The action sequences were good and it was a little funny but it was lacking so much it left me questioning the storyline and it's faithfulness to the book (which I haven't read).

My other peeve is small but...why are they not wearing the musketeers uniforms they should be wearing? Are they too good for the uniform of the King's guard? Or do they need to be individualised because we as an audience won't be able to tell who they are or what style of fighting they use?

All in all if you want a swash buckling adventure but content with a sub-par version then this is for you. If you want a Pirates franchise then....watch the pirates franchise.

I give this film 3/5 stars as it's not completely terrible (like Shark Night 3D)

The Lion king 3D review

First released in 1994 , Simba is back and this time he is 3d! This is one of the first classics to make a reappearance in 3D with the likes of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast said to follow.

It's safe to say this was amazing the first time round without the 3D due to a fantastic array of characters, timeless soundtrack by Mr Elton John and stunning backdrop, but it was great fun to see some childhood favourites transformed and back on the big screen.

I have never heard anyone say they don't like this film. A treat for old fans and new.

Should We Be Afraid of The Dark?

Originally a tv movie from 1973, it has come along way from midgets in masks thanks to director Troy Nixey and producer Guillermo Del Toro.

When sent to live with her father, Sally discovers a secret beneath the house her father is renovating. Cue some creepy tooth fairies that have a hankering for children's teeth and they don't want to wait for them to fall out.
Staring Katie Holmes (Dawsons creek, Batman Begins) and Guy Pearce (Memento) this film definitely has the creep factor with plenty of tension and a few jumps to boot.

If you are a fan of Del Toro's universe (Pan's Labyrinth, Hell boy) this creature feature is worth a watch.

First look at Amy Adams as Lois Lane in Man Of Steel

Here's a few pics of Amy Adams As Lois Lane in the new Superman film 'Man Of Steel'. If your thinking that she looks odd don't fret, she does. It's the first time the comic book character has changed appearance in the shape of red hair.

For me this isn't really a big deal and I know I'll end up getting used to it but what do you guys think?
